Lancaster Bible College sophomore Courtney Goyak has been named Co-North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week as she led the Chargers to three conference victories this past week and continued the impressive start to her Lancaster Bible career.

Goyak's week started with a performance for the ages as she scored 27 points and pulled down 25 rebounds in a 75-66 victory over Penn College in Williamsport, Pa. Eleven of Goyak's 25 rebounds came on the offensive end and she shot 11-of-21 from the floor. The performance marked Goyak's second straight 20-point, 20-rebound game and she now has two of the three such games in program history.

On Friday, Goyak played just five minutes in the opening half against Gallaudet due to foul trouble, but was terrific in the second half as she finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds in an 82-59 win over the Bison. All 14 of Goyak's points and 11 of her 17 boards came in the second 20 minutes of the game.

Goyak wrapped up her week with 20 points and 16 rebounds in an 89-59 victory over Wilson on Saturday. She was 7-of-9 from the floor and 6-of-9 from the free throw line and grabbed five more offensive rebounds.

Through four games this season, Goyak is averaging 20.5 points and 19.5 rebounds per game. She has 30 of Lancaster Bible's 50 offensive rebounds this season. Her 19.5 rebounds per game are the most in NCAA Division III and her 12 defensive rebounds per game are also tops in NCAA Division III.

Goyak and the Chargers play three times this week, beginning Monday evening at Messiah. The Chargers will play Neumann on Wednesday in Aston, Pa. and wrap-up the week by hosting Penn St. Berks on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
